Accounting Association

Networking and learning opportunities are a key part of this organization. Students interact with professionals through informative programs and guest speakers. Over 20 firms attend "Meet the Accountants Night," where many students make first connections for internships and jobs.

Business Book Club

Initiated by alumni Eugene and Jean Grippen '53, the business book club encourages students to be wise consumers and investors for financial independence. The book club reviews the classic book by George Clason, The Richest Man in Babylon, and one other title related to personal finance each year. When the book club gathers, it is usually to share a meal as well as discuss how the concepts are relevant to their lives. The students also compete for cash prizes.

Business Honor Society

Students are connected with alumni and business leaders through the business honor society. The society encourages and supports a deep network of personal and professional contact through ongoing communication and special invitations to campus events.

Enactus

A global, nonprofit organization, Enactus helps students develop leadership, teamwork and communication skills as they learn, practice and teach principles of free enterprise to improve the standard of living for millions around the globe.

Investment Club

Students experience real-life investing by managing a portfolio of stocks from the BW endowment worth over $250,000. The students make decisions based on their own research of equity securities. Members have attended a shareholders meeting, visited the New York Stock Exchange and competed with other colleges in academic competitions. A number of club alumni have received internships and employment at local and national firms specializing in finance and stock analysis.

Sales Club

Through a dynamic lecture series, workshops and mentoring, the sales club prepares students for the workforce. Students learn tactical, persuasive skills and are presented with opportunities to network with industry professionals. These experiences provide a competitive advantage as students enter the job market.

Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)

Open to students of all majors, SHRM provides career-minded students with information on networking, interviewing skills, professionalism and more. Members participate in Ohio Human Resources Games, an outstanding opportunity to network with professionals across the state.

SPORT MANAGEMENT CLUB

Sport management club focuses on creating networking and learning opportunities for students. Members interact with professionals through guest speakers, roundtables and event trips, and have organized trips to the Super Bowl, College Football Playoff National Championship game and Duke University Basketball Countdown to Craziness.
